Farm Bill Forestry Workshop Print

Franklin County Soil & Water Conservation District will host one of ten informational meetings being held throughout the state for forest landowners/managers interested in the forestry aspects of the 2008 Farm Bill. The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Maine Forest Service will be providing up-to-date information on the Farm Bill and how owners of forest land can receive assistance in caring for their woods, and what monies are available for what programs and practices. The session will include plenty of time for questions and answers. Those who register by 4 pm Friday, March 20 and are present at the meeting will be placed in a drawing for the door prize. Register early and take advantage of this special offer.
