The Mahoosuc Initiative and Shelburne Conservation Commission will host a workshop to explore the values and benefits to communities of owning and managing
forestland as a community asset. The workshop will provide an opportunity for people to learn about the community and economic values of community forests, to meet and learn from people who have established community forests in their towns, to visit two communities and to learn about the potential role that community forests can play in the Mahoosuc Initiative. The Workshop will include field visits to Gorham's Paul T. Doherty Memorial Forest and the Randolph Community Forest.
