Workgroup Project Description
Developing a community mapping project for Northern Franklin County to help inform decision-makers about local priorities for natural-resource management. Participatory GIS mapping involves surveying individuals about their values and priorities for land use in a region. The process and resulting maps can provide important information to local planners, conservationists, developers and nature-based tourism business operators.
